The bag containing your article has been dispatched from or arrived at a Transit Mail Office (TMO) or Railway Mail Service (RMS) office India Post’s backbone sorting network for inter-city mail.
Your article has been dispatched from the head post office or sub-post office to the Branch Office responsible for your delivery area. This is often the last sorting step before delivery.
Your Registered Post article is loaded on the postman’s route for today’s delivery. Delivery is expected the same day before 6 PM. Signature of the recipient (or authorized person) will be collected.
The article has been delivered and the recipient’s signature collected. The signed Acknowledgement (AD) card will be returned to the sender by ordinary post as proof of delivery.
The postman visited but could not deliver the recipient was absent, the address was unclear, or the door was locked. A delivery notice is left at the address with post office contact details.
After two or three failed delivery attempts or an unclaimed article at the post office, your consignment is being returned to the sender’s address. Return transit can take 7–21 days.
The Acknowledgement (AD) Card India’s Original Proof of Delivery
