9-digit serial

Computer-generated unique ID. No two parcels share the same serial. Your parcel’s digital fingerprint.

2-letter suffix

Always IN for India-origin parcels. Inbound international shows origin country (US, GB, CN, etc.).

Common typo alert: O vs 0, I vs 1, B vs 8. Double-check your receipt if tracking fails.

India Post EMS tracking covers express international shipments starting with EM or EA. As of January 2026, ITPS expanded to 50 additional countries, with weight limit to USA increased to 5 kg. After arrival, use the same number on the destination country’s postal website.
